#9 Optimising Health and Happiness - Episode 5: Epigenetics & Nutriepigenetics
I am delighted today to introduce you to the fifth in our series on Optimising Health and Happiness For Humans and Your Animals, with my special guests, Dr. Timo Tastutar and Lance Schuttler.
In the first episode of this series (#4) we discussed What is Health, and how can we optimise it?, and in the second episode (#5) we discussed What is Happiness? In the third episode we discussed the important subject of How Do Our Choices Affect Our Health & Happiness? And in episode four (#6) we discussed The Placebo and Nocebo effects & Mind over Matter.
Today, we discuss how understanding Epigenetics and Nutriepigenetics can help us optimise our Health & Happiness. Many of us are now aware of the brilliant work of Dr. Bruce Lipton and The Biology of Belief - how we all have much more control over our genetics than was previously thought. By understanding how we can influence gene expression we can make radical improvements to all aspects of our health. Key nutrients affect gene expression and we can shift from surviving to thriving!
This discussion will really add to our understanding & empower us to make great choices. We have so much to learn about our connection to the environment. Once again, I love the different perspectives that both Lance and Timo bring to this discussion.
- What is epigenetics & how can understanding this help us?
- What factors impact gene expression and how can we control these?
- The role of our nervous system on lining our internal and external environments
- What is nutriepigenetics and how is it linked to soil health & the microbiome
- The difference between chronological & biological age & how to look after our telomeres!
- How science is FUN!
- Specific examples of how Vitamins D, K, A and DHA impact gene expression
- The POWER of CHOICE!
So sit back, enjoy with an open mind - Stay Curious, and Stay Free and, very importantly, please do let us know what you think in the comments or the reviews. Thank you.
